Custom sports uniforms

Every sport asks something different of a garment. A lacrosse shell has to survive a check; a baseball jersey has to hang right over a chest protector; a rugby shirt has to take a grip at the shoulder without tearing. We pattern each one for the sport it plays in, then cut and sew it to your colours and your crest.

That means you are not choosing from a rack of blanks with your logo pressed on top. You are choosing a cut, a fabric weight and a decoration method, and the kit is made from flat cloth after you approve the drawing. It is why a Thread Yard order can run twelve pieces for a club side or five thousand for a league programme without changing how it is built.

Fabric is the decision most programmes underweight. A heavier knit lasts longer and holds a print flatter, but it carries heat; a lighter knit breathes and dries faster, but it shows wear sooner and needs more care around the seams. Which one is right depends on the sport, the climate and how many seasons the set has to survive — and it is a conversation we would rather have before the mockup than after the delivery.

Decoration follows the same logic. Sublimation puts the colour into the fibre so nothing can crack or peel, which is why it dominates contact sports; embroidery outlasts the garment it sits on and is the right answer for a crest that has to look premium; screen print gives the most solid opaque colour across a long run. We recommend by design, fabric and count rather than by preference, and we will tell you when a cheaper method is the better one.
